Maternity services begin

Mission structure formalised
The Sanjeevani Health Co-operative Society merged into Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission as a charitable organisation and secured land for the present hospital building.

Hospital building foundation laid
The foundation ceremony marked the shift from a community healthcare initiative to a long-term institutional facility.

Ground floor inaugurated
The existing building opened with separate OPD and ophthalmology rooms plus strengthened surgery capability.
1985
Blood bank and ICU established
Critical support services were added to deepen emergency and inpatient care readiness.

First floor completed
The hospital expanded capacity and added NICU support, Ayurveda Panchakarma, and an in-house drug store.
1994 - 1996
Acute care and surgical growth
