About the founder

Shri Wanamrao Samant built Sanjivani Hospital on the belief that healthcare should be within reach of every person.

Shri Wanamrao Samant was a visionary leader, philanthropist, and social reformer dedicated to making healthcare accessible to all sections of society.

Driven by compassion and a strong sense of social responsibility, he established Sanjivani Hospital on 15th February 1959 from a modest setup to serve the underprivileged. His mission was simple yet powerful: no one should be deprived of medical care due to financial limitations.

Over the years, his vision transformed into a full-scale hospital with multiple departments and modern facilities, serving thousands of patients every year.
